AWAIC is dedicated to domestic violence

safe shelter and intervention.

AWAIC values education, advocacy, partnership, sustainability & credibility.

Everyone has the right to live in a fear-free environment. Our operating principles value the dignity, respect, empowerment, and accountability of all individuals. We strive to provide clients a full range of choices for living and to empower all those affected by domestic violence to make positive decisions about their lives.

Over half of those we serve are children. As you and your family shop for school, please consider donating a few items to the children in shelter. Classes start August 20:

Program Volunteering at AWAIC

AWAIC's summer volunteer training prepares potential volunteers to work with survivors of domestic violence.  Opportunities will be available to answer our 24-hour crisis line, work with Children's Advocates to run our children's groups, or assist survivors at the courthouse with protective orders.

If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of families in crisis from domestic violence, this is a great chance to become involved.  Please call Melissa at 743-5715 for further information and session availability.
