Case Management

 

All survivors who come to stay at AWAIC’s emergency safe shelter are given the option of receiving individualized case management. We also have case managers who work with survivors and their families who never need emergency shelter but may need support in other areas.

Our case managers are compassionate, knowledgeable, and ready to help you move forward in a way that feels best to you! AWAIC also has case managers that specialize in certain areas.

 

Substance Use Case Management

  • Work with a case manager who specializes in helping those who are struggling with substance use
  • We can help you identify goals, give you information about addiction, bring you to meetings, and help you get into treatment if needed

Housing Case Management

  • We have two case managers who are available to help families obtain safe, permanent housing
  • AWAIC also has an on-site transitional living facility called Harmony House, where eligible women can stay for up to 18 months

Many domestic violence survivors struggle with anxiety, PTSD, or depression. AWAIC has a trauma-informed clinician who can help you work through these mental health issues and provide referrals if needed.
