Domestic violence can happen to anyone, regardless of race, social class, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and age. In Alaska, 1 out of 2 women and 1 out of 4 men will experience intimate partner violence, sexual assault, or both in their lifetime.

You can be a part of the solution! Caring and compassionate individuals like YOU make it possible for AWAIC to give shelter, support, and hope to survivors of domestic violence with dignity and respect. By donating to AWAIC, you are investing in a safer Anchorage and showing survivors they are not alone.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, donations to AWAIC are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Our tax ID number is 92-0061049. If you have any questions about donations, please contact AWAIC’s Development team.

Financial Contributions

Your financial donations give safety and hope to survivors of domestic violence by making a financial gift to AWAIC!

Donate Items

When survivors arrive at AWAIC’s emergency shelter they often have few, if any, personal belongings. By donating essential items like clothing and hygiene items, you are helping survivors take their first steps toward a safer future!

More Ways to Give

Donor Recognition

We would like to show our appreciation to our contributors. Giving is it’s own reward, but a little recognition is nice to have.
