AWAIC 50th Anniversary Celebration and DVAM Kick-off Event

October is domestic violence action month

Join AWAIC on October 1, 2026 at 49th State Brewing as we celebrate 50 years of serving survivors and strengthening our community. This special evening will honor AWAIC’s legacy of advocacy, shelter, and support while officially kicking off Domestic Violence Action Month (DVAM).

AWAIC supporters, volunteers, and staff will gather to reflect on the impact of the past five decades, recognize the ongoing work to end domestic violence, hear from AWAIC founders, participants, and show support of survivors in Alaska.

We invite community members, partners, and supporters to come together for an inspiring evening of connection, awareness, and celebration.
